October 4-6, 2013
The Highway 61 Blues Festival is in transition this year at a new location and with the addition of some country roots music added to the lineup. The new location is at Warfield Point Park just south of Greenville, MS nestled right on the banks of the Mississippi River. The festival will be a two day festival on October 5th and 6th. Both days will be at Warfield Point as the Holly Ridge location is no longer available for use. We hate to put the Holly Ridge Jam behind us, but during the fall of the year there is too much truck traffic with the farmer getting their cotton to the gin and their grain crop to the elevators. For the first time camping will be available on site at the festival with both tent and RV accomodations. We expect a much larger crowd this year! Come be a part of Bridging The Blues! Watch the website for updates in the near future concerning performers and tickets. We will be dedicating the festival to two delta musicians; the late Eugene Powell and Shine Thornton.
